White Noise Privacy Policy
This policy explains what White Noise processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Scope and operator
This policy applies to the White Noise mobile applications, website, and related cloud services operated by the White Noise team. Local mixing, playback, and offline use do not require an account.
Information we process
Local soundscapes, playback settings, timers, and download state remain on your device unless you choose a cloud feature.
- Account features process your email address, optional display name, user ID, email verification state, sign-in provider, and authentication tokens.
- Cloud features store soundscape configurations you choose to sync or publish, together with visibility and moderation state.
- We receive audio, cover images, and filenames only when you intentionally upload them.
- Firebase Analytics is off by default. If you enable anonymous reliability data, it may process app interactions and related device or app information.
- White Noise may use the Google AdMob and AppLovin MAX SDKs to provide and measure advertising. These SDKs may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Personalized advertising is used only where permitted and after any consent required by law or the platform.
- Servers process limited request, security, and diagnostic logs needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
How we use information
We process information to create and secure accounts, sync and restore soundscapes, provide uploads and public discovery, handle support requests, maintain reliability, prevent misuse, comply with law, and, where enabled, serve, measure, and protect advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing and service providers
Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, databases, and security services. Email providers send verification messages. Google Firebase Analytics processes analytics only after you opt in. Google AdMob and AppLovin MAX may process advertising data as described above when their SDKs are enabled. Apple or Google processes sign-in and store transactions under its own policy. Public soundscapes and author display information appear only when you choose to publish them. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Retention and security
We retain account and cloud content while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Security and diagnostic records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary. Legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute records may be retained where required. We use HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, and platform-protected encrypted token storage, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can use local playback without an account, keep soundscapes private, disable optional analytics, manage advertising consent or tracking permission where offered by the platform, delete local content, and remove uploads or cloud soundscapes where the app provides that control. To request access, correction, export, account deletion, or deletion of associated cloud data, email contact@caibo-inc.com. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use contractual and other safeguards intended to protect transferred information.
Children
White Noise is not directed to children below the applicable age of digital consent, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to contact@caibo-inc.com.
